Fortress Global Investigations Corporation is a member of the Fortress Monitoring Group (“FMG”), a joint venture which specializes in monitoring compliance with regulatory, legal and integrity requirements. FMG brings together professional personnel recognized for their forensic auditing, investigative, engineering and legal abilities. Fortress Global is FMG’s investigative arm. After a competitive process, The Fortress Monitoring Group was selected in June 2007 by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to serve as the Integrity Monitor for the construction of the Freedom Tower on the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan. In this role, FMG reports exclusively to the Inspector General of the Port Authority. Its mission is to prevent fraud, waste and abuse and/or corruption; detect it; and, if detected, to coordinate with the Inspector General the definitive and effective actions to be taken. |
