Professional Experience
Ms. Diamond is a lawyer, former prosecutor, and former investigative counsel. Ms. Diamond began her career in 1993 as an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where she investigated and prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases ranging from crimes of violence to white collar crime. Ms. Diamond left the District Attorney’s Office in 1997 as a Senior Prosecutor.
Ms. Diamond also served as Special Counsel to the Special Commissioner of Investigation for the New York City Public Schools, the largest school system in the United States. In this position, Ms. Diamond led investigations of crime, corruption, and fraud committed within the New York City Department of Education. Ms. Diamond has been cross designated to work alongside Counsel in the United States Department of Justice and the New York State Attorney General’s Office in the prosecution of vendors and Department of Education employees for various violations of the anti-trust laws. Many of Ms. Diamond’s cases received great public attention and she received honors for her investigative work from the Commissioner of the New York City Department of Investigation.
